On August 27th 2011 we held our 2nd annual Play4kids soccer and bocce ball tournament. Our chosen charity this year was Right to Play which is an international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world.
This year’s event was a huge success with over 35 participants in the soccer tournament and 30 adults taking part in the Bocce Ball tournament.
Once again we had tremendous support from the community and from local and national businesses. We like to thank Earl’s Paintworks for donating food and staffing the tent, Copyco and Skid-Marketing for attending to the marketing and printing needs, along with myORTHODONTIST for providing water bottles for every participant. We also want to thank Williams Scotsman and Macquarie for covering the costs of tshirts for every participant.
A special thanks also goes out to those who volunteered their time to ensure the day was a huge success. With the generous support of Macquarie we were able to raise just under $4,000 for Right to Play.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year, stay tuned for details! |
